Overview

Sarova Mara Game Camp is located within the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, where its 75 tents capture the true spirit of the Kenyan wild.

Your accommodation for the next two nights will be in one of the Mara's luxury tented lodges, allowing you to experience nights in the bush with all the comforts of home. Mara Sarova Tented Camp is situated on a natural elevation between two streams and is set amid gardens full of exotic flowers.

Each luxury canvas tent has a permanent roof and floor, together with an attached en-suite bathroom that includes a flush toilet, sink and hot shower. Meals are served in the spectacular thatched-roof dining room. During the migration months, the rolling plains around the camp are filled with wildebeest, gazelles and zebras, and the camp lies directly along their migration path.

Sarova Mara Game Camp is also an ideal choice for travelers seeking a richer Masai Mara experience beyond game drives. Its location and layout provide a wide variety of activities, including luxury tented living, bird-watching, mini golf, sport fishing and an introduction to Maasai culture at the adjoining Maasai village.

Itinerary

Nairobi – Masai Mara

You will be picked up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.

The Mara forms the northern portion of the great Serengeti ecosystem and is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant—as well as cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, vast herds of plains antelope and many other wildlife species.

After lunch and time to relax, or perhaps enjoy a swim, you will depart with your driver-guide for an afternoon game drive. The soft afternoon light is ideal for photographing the Mara's rolling plains. As evening approaches, you may be fortunate enough to spot a leopard before returning to Mara Sarova Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara – Nairobi

Rise at dawn for an early-morning game drive, or end your safari with an optional hot-air balloon ride over the Mara. After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive while making your way to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Nairobi.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
