Down the Old Port, you might see the Arab dhows that have sailed from Arabia by Monsoon Winds carrying their wares just as they did thousands of years ago. Then drive past the Mombasa State House, Kilindini Harbour, the giant "elephant tusks" (commemorating the Royal visit of Princess Margaret in 1957), before visiting one of the most decorated Hindu temples. proceed to the Mamba Village. In this rehabilitated Crocodile Farm, meet the big daddy, the largest & Oldest crocodile also other crocodiles, horses & Camels & many other reptiles. You will also have the chance to witness the feeding around 04.00 p.m. in the Farm.

BAMBURI NATURE TRAIL/PARK MOMBASA

Visit the Nature Park now known as Haller Park. In this rehabilitated quarry, meet Sally and Potty the hippos, giant tortoises, crocodiles, ostriches, giraffes, antelopes, wild cats and other reptiles including the beautiful birds. You will also have a chance to witness the feeding of the animals at 1600 hrs in the game sanctuary.

1 DAY MOMBASA DOLPHIN DHOW IN MOMBASA

Transfer from your hotel to Shimoni where you will be escorted by Dolphin experts who make this more than a dhow trip. Our knowledge makes a meeting with the friendly local dolphins a real probability. It is in their coral garden where we will snorkel and marvel at the prolific marine life. A traditional lunch on board ensures maximum time for dolphin spotting. Island exploring provides good vantage points overlooking the dolphin's playgrounds and leisurely sailing provides tranquil silence to listen out for dolphin whistles blowing off the sea. As with any wild animal safari, sightings cannot be absolutely guaranteed, however, a most enjoyable day can! Only 33 km from the hustle and bustle of Mombasa, and the heat of the tropical coast lies the environmental friendly Shimba Hills Lodge, buried deep in the cool and green tropical rainforest. You will be collected from your respective hotel early afternoon to drive up to Shimba Hills Reserve and enjoy a first game drive in this home of the rare Sable antelope, Elephant and Buffalo. Pre-dinner cocktails can be enjoyed in the viewing bar at the raised walkway. Dinner is served on a terrace overlooking the floodlit water hole regularly visited by elephants.

An early morning game drive will give you the opportunity to enjoy the Reserve from a different angle, before returning to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will drive back to your coastal hotel.
