3 Days Mt. Meru Climbing from Arusha
Day 1: Arusha to
Momella and Miriakamba:
You will be
transferred to Momella gate then hike to Mariakamba Camp. Afternoon at
leisure.
Day 2: Miriakamba to Saddle Camp:
After breakfast
proceed to Saddle Camp and towards Little Meru, which will take you
about 4/5 hrs walk.
Day 3: Sadle to Meru
Peak to Momella:
Ascend to the
summit of Meru and then return to Miriakamba Camp and on to Momella
Lodge.

5 Days Mt. Kenya Climbing (Option 1)
Naro Moru
Route
Day 1: Nairobi
to Naro Moru:
Leave Nairobi
for Naro Moru town for lunch. After lunch, drive to the Youth Hostel for
the rest of the day and night acclimatizing.
Day 2: Naro Moru to Met Station:
After
breakfast, leave the Youth Hostel and drive to the main gate. Taking a
picnic lunch, start ascending the mountain through the rain forest for
ten kilometres to the Met station for dinner
and overnight.
Day 3: Met Station to Mackinders Hut:
After breakfast,
continue ascending to Mackinders camp for dinner and overnight, lunch
en-route.
Day 4: Mackinders Hut to Met Station:
Wake up very
early in the morning around 2:30am and attempt Point Lenana via Austrian
Hut. After Point Lenana (17,058ft), descend down to Met Station for
dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Met Station to Nairobi:
After breakfast,
descend the last bit of the Mountain from Met Station via Naro Moru Main
gate for a short drive to Naro Moru town for lunch and to catch
transport to Nairobi where the tour ends.

5 Days Mt. Kenya Climbing (Option 2)
Sirimon
Route
Day 1: Nairobi
to Nanyuki:
Leave Nairobi by
public means accompanied by our mountain guide for lunch. Spend the
afternoon acclimatizing with a walk to the Equator crossing. Dinner and
overnight at a hotel in Nanyuki.
Day 2: Nanyuki to Old Moses Camp:
Transfer
from your Nanyuki hotel after breakfast to the Park gate where the
climbing starts. Walk through the rain forest for 9Kms (5 hours walk) to
the first mountain hut _ Old Moses (3,300m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Old Moses to Shipton Camp:
After breakfast
in Old Moses, continue climbing through Mackinders Valley to the second
hut, Shipton Hut (4,200m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Shipton Hut to Old Moses Camp:
Early in the
morning, we climb to Point Lenana 4,985m (17,058ft). On a very clear
day, we should be able to see Mount Kilimanjaro in the south, Mount
Elgon to the west and Indian Ocean to the east. We descend to Shipton
camp for breakfast and soon after, descend to Old Moses for the night.
Day 5: Old Moses to Nairobi:
After breakfast,
transfer from Old Moses to catch transport to Nairobi where the tour
ends.

5 Days Mt. Kenya Climbing (Option 3)
Up
Sirimon Down Chogoria Route
Day 1: Nairobi
to Nanyuki:
Leave Nairobi by
public means accompanied by our Mountain guide arriving Nanyuki in time
for lunch. Afternoon is spent in Nanyuki acclimatizing. Dinner and
overnight in a hotel in Nanyuki.
Day 2: Nanyuki to Old Moses Camp:
After breakfast,
drive to Sirimon Park Gate and begin your 5 hour hike to Old Moses Camp,
3,000m above sea level for meals and overnight at the hut.
Day 3: Old Moses Camp to Shipton Camp:
After breakfast,
walk from Old Moses Camp via Mackinders valley to Shipton Camp (4,200m).
Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Shipton to Point Lenana and Mintos Hut:
Wake up very early in the morning around 2:30am ready to hike to Point
Lenana (4,985m). On a clear day, we should be able to see Mt.
Kilimanjaro to the East and other sights all part of a measuring dawn or
sunrise. After Point Lenana, descend to Mintos (4,250m) for breakfast
then proceed to Road Head for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Road Head to Chogoria and Nairobi:
After breakfast,
an early walk will take us to Chogoria for lunch then back to Nairobi
arriving in the afternoon having conquered Mt. Kenya.

7 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing
Package Intro:
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the largest
extinct volcanoes. It can be climbed at any
time except in April and May during the long rains. January to March and
August to October are the best climbing seasons. We use the Marangu
route which is the easiest and the most accessible.
Day 1: Nairobi
to Moshi:
0700 to 0730
hrs: Pick from your Nairobi hotel. 0800 hrs: Depart town of Namanga
arriving at 1000hrs. Continue to Arusha for lunch after immigration
formalities. Drive to Moshi where the afternoon is spent organizing
climbing gear. Dinner and overnight at Spring lands Hotel-Moshi.
Day 2: Moshi to
Mandara Hut:
After breakfast,
drive 45kms to Marangu gate, an altitude of 1,860m. Walk 9 kms to
Mandara hut, 2,744m (9,000) above sea level through dense
semi-tropical rain forest, for first overnight on Kilimanjaro. Meals and
overnight at the hut.
Day 3: Mandara
to Horombo Hut:
Start early
morning for a ten hour walk towards Horombo. The landscape becomes more
rugged and rocky but superb, with both Maw Enzi and Kibo peaks in view.
You spend your second night on the mountain at Horombo hut, an altitude
of 3,761m (12,335 ft)
Day 4: Horombo to Kibo Hut:
Take a tiring 13
km walk which takes 6hrs to Kibo hut 4,732m (15,520 ft) above sea level.
Spectacular mountain vegetation like giant cactus, groundsel and lobelia
appear. Meals and overnight at the hut.
Day 5: Kibo to Uhuru Peak and Horombo Hut:
The final
attempt to the summit is made in the early hours of the morning at
2.00a.m. It takes about 5 hours to climb the steepest and most difficult
part of the route to Gilman's Point 5,681m (18,630 ft). From Gilman's it
takes 11/2 to 2hrs to Uhuru peak, 5,896 m (19,344 ft). Descend to
Horombo for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Horombo to Moshi:
Descent is
rapid. After breakfast, walk down to Marangu gate for transfer to Moshi.
Overnight at spring lands Hotel, Moshi.
Day 7: Moshi to Nairobi:
After breakfast,
drive to Arusha for Lunch, then to Nairobi Via Namanga border town,
arriving early in the evening.

8 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing (Option 1)
Umbwe
Route
Day 1: Nairobi
to Arusha:
Leave Nairobi
for Arusha by Shuttle bus arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon spent at
leisure and shopping for the provisions needed for the Mountain. Dinner
and overnight at an Arusha hotel.
Day 2: Arusha to Lava Caves:
After breakfast,
transfer to Marangu gate and then to Umbwe Village to start the climb.
Climb for four hours through the rainforest to camp at the caves 2800m
above the sea level.
Day 3: Lava Caves to Barranco Hut:
After breakfast, continue ascent along a sharp ridge, giving a distinct
high mountain feeling, then unto the Moor land Camp and arrive by mid
afternoon. Stay at Barranco hut, 3900m.
Day 4: Barranco Hut to Arrow Glacier:
A four hour walk past enormous breach walls to camp at the foot of the
Arrow Glacier. A Leisurely afternoon and evening, acclimatizing at
around 4900m and watching the sunset behind Mt. Meru.
Day 5: Arrow Glacier to Kilimanjaro Crater Rim:
Climbing the same steep walls and scrambling up the screen and across
the frozen lava on the tottering wall. We camp on the stunning crater
rim of Kilimanjaro.
Day 6: Kilimanjaro Crater Rim to Horombo Hut:
You trek up the highest point in Africa, Uhuru Peak, (5,896m). Descend
via Gilman's point and onto Kibo hut for dinner and overnight (3.761m).
Day 7: Horombo Hut to Arusha:
After breakfast,
descend to the Marangu Park Gate via Marandara. You will be transferred
to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Arusha to Nairobi:
After breakfast,
leave for Nairobi by morning or afternoon shuttle bus where the tours
ends.

8 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing (Option 2)
Machame
Route
Day 1: Nairobi
to Arusha:
0700 to 0730 hrs
pick from your Nairobi hotel. 0800 hrs: Leave for Arusha by shuttle bus
via Namanga border town. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at an Arusha hotel.
Day 2: Arusha to Machame:
Drive to Machame village. The climb begins at
the end of the tarmac road. Walk through the shamba and through the
forest to the Machame hut (3000m) in about 6 hours. Overnight in tents
after dinner.
Day 3: Machame to Shira:
Cross the village and continue along the steep ridge going on to rock
ridges and through heather. The route turns west into a river gorge,
reaching Shira hut (3800m). Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 4: Shira to Barranco:
Continue east towards Kibo passing the junction, then east towards the
Lava Towers. Shortly after this, you climb down to Barranco Hut.
(3940m). Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 5: Barranco to Barafu:
From Barranco a
steep rocky climb, passing the Barranco wall, then up and down until
you come to Karanga Valley and then on to Barafu Hut (4600m).
Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 6: Barafu to Mweka and Horombo:
Very early start
for the summit, first to Stella point and then to Uhuru Peak
(5896m).There are two ways to descend on this route-Marangu or Mweka.
The Mweka Hut will take about 6 hours. The
route is steep but picturesque. The Marangu route- Uhuru- Kibo- Horombo
is the main route, it is easier but can be dusty and busy. It is also
longer.
Day 7: Mweka to Horombo and Arusha:
Mweka Hut to
Mweka Gate will take about 3 hours. Horombo to Marangu Gate will take
about 6 hours. Drive to Arusha for hot showers, dinner and warm bed.
Day 8: Arusha to Nairobi:
After breakfast
leave for Nairobi by morning or afternoon shuttle bus where the tour
ends.
